We’re gonna look at Revelation chapter 13 today. In the last chapter, chapter 12, we saw that chapter 12 is a beginning of another section in Revelation and then in Chapter 12 we saw that it describes the happenings from the time just before the birth of Jesus through to the time just before the Great Tribulation. So now in chapter 13 it describes what will
happen in the great revelation.
Chapter 13 verse 1 “then I stood on the sand of the sea and I saw a beast rising up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and on his horns ten crowns and on his heads blasphemous names.”
So we see a beast rising from the sea. What is this beast? It says it has seven heads and ten horns. So as to what these seven heads and ten horns mean, it is explained in another chapter, chapter 17.
Revelation chapter 17 verse 9 “here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is and the other has not yet come. And when he comes he must continue a short time”
and in verse 12 “the ten horns which you saw are ten Kings”.
So the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. So I believe the woman is the Virgin Mary and as you know the Virgin Mary is worshiped by Roman Catholics and the capital city of Roman Catholics is in Vatican and in that city there are seven hills like seven mountains so it says here “the seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits”. So the Roman Catholics and their capital is in Vatican City and there are seven mountains in that city. And it says there are also seven kings.
So the Seven heads, it also means seven kings. It says five have fallen and one is and the other has not yet come. Seven kings mean seven nations but
not just small nations but usually means empires that span a vast area of the world.
And it says five have fallen one is and the other has not yet come. So the Beast that comes out of the sea in Revelation chapter 13, we see that same beast described in Daniel chapter 7 but in Daniel chapter 7 there are four
beasts and usually the first three beasts, many people think that they are Persian Empire and Babylon and the Greek Empire and the fourth one is the Roman Empire.
But in chapter 17 it says five Kings have fallen and one is and the other has not yet come so why is it five on Revelation chapter 17 and it’s four kings in Daniel chapter 7? I believe that it’s because there were many empires before the Roman Empire so in Daniel chapter 7 it described about three of those empires and in Revelation chapter 7 we can just assume that it describes five empires before the Roman Empire.
So at the time of this writing, the book of Revelation, the Roman Empire was still standing so it says five have fallen so the five empires
have fallen before Roman Empire. And “one is” so the sixth Empire is the Roman Empire that was standing at the time of this writing and “the other has not yet come” and the other seventh Empire I believe is the reborn Roman Empire which is the European Union.
So just like the Roman Empire which spanned all of Europe and it was mostly influenced by Roman Catholic and the Roman Pope was like a king
of all of Europe. And just like that now the European Union spans all of Europe and its underlying philosophy is Roman Catholic.
And we continue verse 10 “and when he comes he must continue a short time. The Beast that was and is not is himself also the eighth and is of the seven and is going to perdition” So the seventh is the European Union and the Roman Catholic and the eighth is I believe this entire world that will be worshiping the Antichrist because the Antichrist will rule all the world.
So this 8th Empire is the world, the kingdom of Antichrist during the Great Tribulation. “And is of the seven”, so the Antichrist, I believe, he will come from the European Union and then that Antichrist will rule also all the world in the Great Tribulation. ”
And ten horns which you saw are ten Kings who have received no Kingdom yet but they receive authority for one hour as Kings with the best”. So this ten Kings is the ten nations within the European Union.
Now when the membership of European Union multiplied beyond the number of ten many people thought “Oh, then the European
Union is not the ten horns” but there is another core group of Nations within the European Union which is the Western European Union and that membership includes only ten nations so I believe these ten kings symbolize those ten nations. So largely that 10 Kings also symbolize European Union.
So we continue in the chapter 13 verse 2 “now the Beast which I saw was like the leopard. His feet were like the fear of a bear and his mouth like the mouth of a lion”.
Now in Daniel we see similar writings in that we saw four beasts and one of the beasts looks like a leopard and another one looks like a bear and so on. But it says here this beast is one beast and the parts of the beast look like a bear and a lion so a little bit different but the same animals.
So in Daniel a lot of people think that those three beasts symbolize three empires before Roman Empire but those empires are no more so this beast coming out of the sea, although it’s the same animal but I believe that they symbolize different things.
So this European Union, some parts of it can be described by these animals. So it says this beast looks something like a Leopard. So overall its appearance look like a leopard. I don’t think this leopard symbolizes any particular nation but his feet were like the feet of a bear.
Now, Russia is not a part of European Union now but eventually Russia will join in and eventually all the world will worship the Antichrist so his feet were like the feet of a bear. Now, everybody knows the expression “Russian Bear”.
And his mouth like the mouth of a lion. Usually the Great Britain is symbolized by lion and as you know it says mouth of a lion so the mouth is something that speaks and we know that the official language of the world is English so it has a mouth of a lion. So this is one of the hints I think the Bible is trying to give us.
And continue in verse 12 “the dragon gave him his power his throne and great Authority”. The dragon is Satan and this beast is the Antichrist.
Now one thing I’d like to tell you is some of the things that’s described in
the book of Revelation they symbolize two things at the same time like a Harlot in chapter 13 and 18. It symbolizes something and it also symbolizes the city. I believe it symbolizes Virgin Mary and also the city which will be the world capital from which the Antichrist will rule the world.
And likewise in this chapter 13 this beast symbolizes all the nations that support and worship Antichrist and also it symbolizes Antichrist himself because the Beast, it says here, “the number of the beast for it is the number of a man”. So the Beast is also a man.
So verse 3 “and I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded and his deadly wound has healed and all the world marveled and followed the Beast”. So it says “one of the heads was mortally wounded” Now, I told you that seven heads were seven empires and the sixth head which was a
Roman Empire. Now we know that Roman Empire ceased to exist and then suddenly in this end time it was reborn as a European Union. So it was mortally wounded and his deadly wound was healed and all the world marveled at it. So this incredible thing happened like all the European countries started to come together like one country so it’s something amazing so I think these verses describe that happening.
And also it could mean that this Antichrist the person might be wounded and he will miraculously come back to life, that might happen too because it also says it’s a man. But that kind of thing might not even happen, so this verse just means what happened to the Roman Empire and the Roman
Catholic.
So it’s something we can keep in mind but we continue verse 4 “so they worship the dragon who gave authority to the beast and they worshiped the Beast saying who is like the Beast? Who is able to make war with him? And he was given a mouth speaking great things and he was given authority
to continue for forty-two months” So 42 months is three and a half years so the Great Tribulation will be for three and a half years.
“Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God to blaspheme his name” and verse seven “it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them”.
So now some people say especially from those apostolic movements they say we’ll be given a special power from God and we will overcome the Antichrist in the Great Tribulation. And some of them say the Antichrist will rule all the world so there’s no point fleeing to anywhere and will receive a great power from God and we will do God’s work in the Great Tribulation. But it says here “it was granted to him to make war with the Saints and to overcome them” so I’d like to tell you that all those who are going against the Antichrist in the end time, they will be subdued and there will be persecuted
and verse 7 “and authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation so he will rule all the world. All who dwell on the earth will worship him whose names have not been written in the book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If anyone has an ear let him hear. He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity. He who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”
So what he’s saying is, in the great tribulation people will lead a lot of people into captivity and they will kill many Christians with a sword but those who do that will also themselves be killed by the sword because after the Great Tribulation the real Jesus will return and kill the people with a sword coming out of his mouth. So he’s saying all those who persecute the Saints in the great tribulation, they themselves will be captured and be killed by the swords so have patience because God will repay them the same way they have done to others. So that’s what it’s saying here.
And verse 11 “then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon”. So there is another beast coming up and I believe this is the false prophet. Those two always go
together because we see in the latter part of the Revelation the beast and the
false prophet being thrown into the lake of fire. So we can know that this beast is the false prophet.
And “he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon”, so you know that Jesus is often symbolized as a lamb so this false prophet will have something to do with Christianity I believe. And verse 12 “he
exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence and causes the
earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast whose deadly
wound was healed. He performs great signs so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”. So I think this false prophet may be a leader of Christianity, will make everybody worship the Antichrist and he will even make fire come down from the sky and he
deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs.
And verse 14 “and he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the Beast telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the Beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the Beast that the image of the Beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the Beast to be killed”.
So the false prophet will make an image of the beast. So what is this image? Now the Antichrist will say he is Jesus because Jesus will, when he returns, he will rule all the world in the thousand-year Kingdom so before that the Antichrist will be granted to rule all the world and he will say he’s Jesus.
So what is the image that symbolizes Jesus? We know that the image symbolizing Jesus is the cross. Now what other image is there that symbolizes Jesus?
So in the Great Tribulation the false prophet will make this cross and he will put this cross in all the churches and he will force everyone to worship the cross. But those things are happening already. Now the Christians they worship the cross in songs too, and you know, in music videos, they worship God but the the music video they show the image of the cross. And if you search it in the internet, “worship cross” then you will see all the images popping up showing the Christians worshiping the cross and I believe that he will make the cross even speak. So through some kind of supernatural power the Antichrist will make the cross to talk like Jesus talking through the cross. So those things will happen I believe.
And 16 “he causes all both small and great rich and poor free and slave to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is a wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.”
So the false prophet will force everyone to receive this mark of the beast, the mark that symbolizes the beast which is Antichrist. So once again I believe this is the cross. So what will happen is the false prophet will force everyone to receive the cross tattoos on their foreheads or on the hand and I think that cross tattoo will have some kind of chip functionality so that if you don’t have it just like credit cards you have or debit cards you won’t be able to buy the groceries or anything you want to buy. So that’s how the Antichrist will control all the people in the world.
And if you think about it if you just put the chip inside of your body then it’s hard to distinguish the Antichrist worshipers on the streets so you will want to easily distinguish the Antichrist worshipers on the streets so I believe they will put cross tattoos on the foreheads or the hands so that they can easily see they have the mark.
So I think that’s what will happen in the Great Tribulation. And it says the mark is the number of the beast or the number of his name. So just like the debit cards with the numbers, in that number, the first few numbers usually is a financial institution and just like that I think in the mark the first few numbers will symbolize the number of the Antichrist.
So the number of the Antichrist will be followed by the number of the financial institutions and the personal identification number. So it says here the mark of the beast is the number of the Antichrist or the number of his name and his number is 666 so I think I believe that Antichrist, his name can be converted to a number and that number is 666. And that number will be in that chip. But that number might not even 666 because if that number is 666 everyone will be alarmed by the number. So it could be some number but we know that the number in that chip of that mark of the beast will be some kind of number of a man.
So this chapter 13 describes the Antichrist and the false prophet and what will happen in the Great Tribulation. So in the Great Tribulation the false prophet will make the cross and force everyone to worship the cross and Antichrist, and he will force everyone to receive the cross tattoos on their hands or foreheads to control their commercial activities and their livelihood so that all the people who don’t worship the Antichrist and
receive the cross on their hands or forehead will be persecuted with
terrible tortures and to death.
So those things will happen and Jesus said be on your guard and pray and be guided so that you can escape all these things which is the Great Tribulation.
So this terrible event will happen but many Christians, because of false doctrines they are fully prepared to go into this great tribulation but I encourage all who are watching this video so that you’re not deceived to go into the Great Tribulation because Jesus forewarned to keep praying and be on guard, ask his guidance so that you can escape all these things that
will come upon the whole world. So that you can meet him alive in the rapture in the sky.
Because if you go into the Great Tribulation and be persecuted then you can expect to be killed in the great revelation. So anyone who goes into the
Great Tribulation, most likely they won’t be able to receive Jesus in the rapture alive on the earth, but there will be those who will be guided by Jesus to flee from the great revelation to wait for Jesus alive on the earth. So I wish you blessings so that you are guided by Jesus in this end time to escape all these things that will happen and meet Jesus in the rapture when he returns.
