I don’t know if you knew this but the kingdom of God is very well protected, so there are not many people who actually enter the Kingdom.
So, how did he protect his kingdom? He protected his kingdom by not telling that there is the kingdom of God.
So, in the Old Testament times, nobody knew that there is a kingdom of God in heaven. So until Jesus came to proclaim the existence of his kingdom and there is Hell, nobody knew that there is heaven and hell and everlasting life. So if you don’t know there is a kingdom of heaven then how can you go there ? So it becomes very hard. So, that’s how God protected his kingdom.
And also he protected his kingdom by concealing how to get in into the Kingdom. So whenever Jesus talked about the secret of the Kingdom he concealed it with a parable. So the secret of how to get into the kingdom is concealed by Jesus with all his Parables. So he concealed actually how to be born again to enter the kingdom and that’s concealed in his parable of vine and the branches. So, in the past 2,000 years not many people knew how to actually be born again to enter the kingdom because he concealed it with his parable. So if you don’t know how to be born again how can you get into the kingdom? It becomes very hard. And all his secrets about his kingdom is concealed in his parable, so if you want to know the secret of his kingdom then you have to study his parables.
So that’s how God protected his kingdom. So when I look at it that plan has been very very successful. So, because God protected his kingdom so well not many people entered his kingdom and Jesus said, strive to find a narrow way and the narrow gate because not many find it.
But there is a way to invade the kingdom of God although it’s very well protected by God. So it’s in the Book of Matthew chapter 11:12
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force”
So he says “the violent take it by force”, that means the violent man invades his kingdom of God. So how can they invade the kingdom of God? So the hint is here. It says “and from the days of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence”. So from the days of John the Baptist the kingdom of Heaven suffers violence. So what did John the Baptist proclaim? He proclaimed the message of repentance.
So, many people came to John the Baptist and asked, “then what should we do?” He said, repent and turn away from practicing all the evil ways and start doing good, and start living the righteous life. So when people do that then they get into the kingdom.
So, although somebody is a violent man, if he repents from that violent way then he can take it by force although it’s very well protected by God. It’s because God is a righteous judge. So if somebody repents then because God is a righteous judge, if somebody repents then he cannot refuse him because he has to judge all the people by his standard. So although somebody is a very violent man, as long as he can repent then by his own will he can enter his kingdom. So it’s like the violent man is taking the kingdom of God by force, by his will. So that’s how you can invade the kingdom of God.
But many Christians misunderstand about repentance. So, many of them just believe that repentance is just acknowledging his sin in his prayers and say sorry to God. So they keep sinning and then they just say sinner’s prayer over and over again without turning away. But the true repentance includes the fruits of repentance. So if that repentance is genuine then there must be a resolution such that oh I won’t commit this sin again. So if he truly repented then he will turn away from that sinful way.
Also many Christians don’t know about this sin. So if you are a Christian, God has a calling for you; without any exceptions God gives calling to all the Christians to deny himself to follow Jesus, and instead of living for himself and his dreams in this life, God calls them to live for Jesus and follow him wherever he goes even though it might mean death. So truly repentant person will do whatever Jesus tells him to do and goes where ever Jesus wants him to go. So if you don’t decide to follow Jesus and live for him then you haven’t decided to repent from the sin of disobedience. So the repentance includes the repentance from the sin of disobedience of not following Jesus. So if you repent from all your sins including that sin of Disobedience to follow Jesus and believe Jesus then you will be saved to enter his kingdom.
Then no matter what kind of life you lived before you repent; your sin might be as red as scarlet but as long as you repent to follow Jesus and believe Jesus then the price Jesus paid on the cross is enough to cover all your sins. So doesn’t matter what kind of person anyone was in his life; whether he’s a violent man or sexually immoral or dishonest; that kind of violent man can enter his kingdom by repentance and that’s how you invade his kingdom of God. So although his kingdom is very well protected and it’s been very successful through the history of mankind but if you repent then you can enter the Kingdom although it’s very well protected.
